How CarLogic turns vehicle documents into useful context
CarLogic structures the maintenance records and repair quotes you provide, associates them with a selected vehicle, and compares quote items with the available completed-service history.
AI helps read and explain documents, while product rules and your corrections keep recommendations separate from recorded work and preserve uncertainty when evidence is missing.

Why this question needs context
A receipt is useful evidence, but a folder of receipts is difficult to search during a repair conversation. CarLogic creates a private, structured layer over those documents so the same history can support future quote review.
1. You provide the documents
Users upload photos or PDFs of maintenance records and repair quotes, or use other upload flows currently available in the product. CarLogic does not claim to retrieve a complete history automatically from dealers or third-party vehicle-history services.
2. CarLogic extracts reviewable information
- Vehicle details that appear on the document
- Date, mileage, shop, totals, and currency when available
- Completed services kept separate from recommendations
- Quote line items and their stated prices
3. Records are associated with a vehicle
You select or confirm the vehicle for the upload. CarLogic keeps each vehicle’s timeline separate so a service on one car does not become context for another.
You can review and correct extracted information before or after it becomes part of the history.
4. Quote items are compared with history
Each quote item is compared with completed services in the selected vehicle’s available history. The result may show a related recent record, a history-aligned item, or that no matching record was found.
A match is context, not a mechanical conclusion. Similar names can describe different scopes, and a prior service does not reveal the present condition of a part.
5. Price context appears only with a basis
When sufficient price information is available, CarLogic can present a contextual range or comparison basis. Missing or weak evidence remains unavailable rather than being filled with an invented number.
6. AI assists with reading and explanation
AI helps extract structured fields and produce plain-language context. CarLogic also applies deterministic checks, server-owned history, and product rules designed to avoid fabricated records, unsupported prices, and prescriptive repair advice.
AI output can be incomplete or mistaken, which is why source documents and user correction remain important.
7. Private documents stay in authenticated product flows
Uploaded vehicle documents and histories are not published on these public pages. Access to private product data requires an authenticated account, and public examples use fictional information.
How maintenance history changes the context
The comparison becomes more useful as the history gains reliable dates, mileage, service status, and source documents. Corrections improve future comparisons for that vehicle.

What CarLogic cannot determine
- CarLogic does not inspect vehicles, monitor live shop inventory, issue repair instructions, guarantee price accuracy, or replace a qualified mechanic.
- It cannot infer missing maintenance or prove that a service never occurred.
